Donegal Jewelers is a destination for those in search of beautiful, inspired jewelry. Owner, Alexa Breslin, has created a curated collection of the most unique and sought after pieces. Her passion for jewelry and all things beautiful began at an early age, much of which was influenced by her mother and father. Her mother, an English professor, and her father, a jeweler, opened her eyes to a world of art, history and creativity.

Alexa’s background is a combination of business and art. She has a BA in communications and a MBA. She has worked for large companies, such as Forbes, Inc. and honed her aesthetic eye while working in corporate art consulting and fine art appraisal. However, having spent much time working in the family jewelry business, it was natural for her to continue this path. An entrepreneur at heart, Alexa opened Donegal Jewelers in 2010. Her background in art, jewelry and business allow her to effectively buy, sell and create jewelry pieces.

Where did the shop’s name come from? It’s a tribute to Alexa’s paternal grandparents, Mary and Hugh Breslin, born in County of Donegal, Ireland, in 1901.
